1.Students: outline the importance and application of exercise in health promotion and disease prevention; discuss changes in physical activity and fitness trends in recent years; identify the latest technologies in exercise intensity dosing and recording; list and classify the types of exercise/workouts used in health sport; articulates the causes of obesity and their negative effects on the human body, the role of physical activity and exercise in the prevention of obesity; describes the specific characteristics of physical activity for children, adolescents and young people and the characteristics of physical activity for seniors; describes physical activity in balance, aerobic, strength, interval, body weight, circuit and functional training; identifies types of interval training
Skills
1.Students: explain the most appropriate exercises for health promotion and disease prevention; evaluate the role of the latest technologies in dosing exercise intensity to improve performance; explain the effectiveness of different health sports exercises; explain the role of exercise and the use of exercise in obesity prevention; explain the specifics of physical activity for children, young people and seniors; design a simple programme of physical activity recommendations for people of different ages, depending on health, fitness and goals, guided by the basic principles of health sports training; explain the nature of interval training.
Competences
1.Develops a programme of physical activity recommendations for clients of different ages, depending on health status, fitness and goals, using the basic principles of health sports training. Appreciate the need for health-promoting activities to improve their own health and fitness and will be competent in convincing the public of the need for and role of physical exercise in modern society.

The latest research, systematic reviews and meta-analyses on the role and use of physical activity and exercise in improving health and preventing various diseases. The latest technologies and their application in exercise intensity dosing, recording and evaluation. Aerobic capacity tests and their evaluation.

Changes in physical activity and the latest fitness trends in recent years. Latest research on the use and effectiveness of high intensity interval training, sprint interval training, body weight and functional training, strength interval training and different strength training regimes.

General characteristics, main advantages and disadvantages of group activities. Specificity of physical activity for children, adolescents and young people. Specific features of physical activity for seniors.

Causes of obesity and its negative effects on the human body. The role of exercise and the use of exercise in the prevention of obesity. The most effective forms of exercise and their application in reducing overweight and obesity.

Body weight exercises .

Balance classes using balance bases.

Circle training.

A class using dumbbells to develop strength and endurance.

Pair exercises, exercises with your own body weight and using exercise equipment.

Balance classes using large exercise balls.

Functional exercises using additional equipment.

Interval training in health sports.

Exercises for strength endurance for physical fitness for endurance using resistance bands, weight bars, medicine balls, TRX.
