About Study Course
Objective
To gain practical skills in the development of a research paper, by broadening and systematising theoretical knowledge and acquiring skills of applying it studying the chosen topic, defining the problems and drawing reasoned conclusions and suggestions.
Preliminary Knowledge
Knowledge in the study courses implemented in the study programme.
Students require knowledge about research methodology and methods, formulation of basic research aims and planning of the course of research, theories related to the chosen research topic, creating of bibliography.
Learning Outcomes
Knowledge
1.In the course of developing a Bachelor’s thesis, students broaden their knowledge about research development, methodology and matters related to the topic of the Bachelor’s thesis.
Skills
1.Students acquire the skills of carrying out independent scientific research, as well as improve their presentation skills in the process of presenting the application of the Bachelor’s thesis, and during pre-defence and defence of the Bachelor’s thesis.
Competences
1.In the course of developing and defending a Bachelor’s thesis, students acquire the competence in practical application of theoretical and methodological knowledge in order to carry out a scientific research, as well as improve their competence in the matters of the research topic.

Development of a Bachelor’s thesis takes place pursuant to a work plan developed by the Department of International Business and Economics, providing the tasks to be completed and their deadlines. Development of a Bachelor’s thesis is organised as follows:
1) Choice of a topic for the Bachelor’s thesis and approval of the supervisor;
2) Methodological seminar of the Bachelor’s thesis;
3) Development and presentation of an application of the Bachelor’s thesis;
4) Submission of the first draft of the Bachelor’s thesis;
5) Pre-defence of the Bachelor’s thesis;
6) Submission of the final copy of the Bachelor’s thesis;
7) Defence of the Bachelor’s thesis.
Information about deadlines for completion of the tasks of Bachelor’s thesis is available at the Department of International Business and Economics at the beginning of the semester of when the paper will be defended.
Within the process of drafting a Bachelor’s thesis, students analyse and summarise theoretical and empirical literature in line with the topic, and conduct qualitative and/or quantitative research.

The Bachelor’s thesis is assessed by the Bachelor’s Thesis Assessment Commission, taking into account the conformity of the Bachelor’s thesis with the Bachelor’s thesis requirements, the course of defending the thesis, the reviewer’s appraisal and the supervisor’s assessment of the Bachelor’s thesis and collaboration with the student. The Bachelor’s thesis is assessed, using 10-point grading scale.
