Knowledge
1.On completion of the study course students are capable of demonstrating basic and specialised knowledge and critical understanding of this knowledge of the system of civil rights and their place in the whole legal system, sources, objects, subjects and representation of civil law. Are able to develop the understanding of the concepts and legal relationships that are essential to civil law.
Skills
1.Upon completion of the course students are able to: • Demonstrate a scientific approach to solving problems. • Outline their learning independently. • Take decisions and find creative solutions in changing or uncertain circumstances. • Take responsibility and initiative by doing the work individually, on a team or by managing other people's work. • Direct further learning and professional development of their and their subordinates. • Identify the objects and subjects of civil law, are knowledgeable about the sources of civil law, in interpretation of the statement of will, in identification of the participants of the deal, in recognition of the subject and type of the deal and in the constructions of the components of the deal.
Competences
1.Upon completion of the course students are able to: • Assess the environmental and societal impacts of their professional activities. • Show their understanding of professional ethics. • Independently obtain, select and analyse information and use it, apply the acquired knowledge and skills in professional activities; apply systematically and rationally legal methods, taking responsibility of the decisions and actions, raising the professional qualification independently and on regular basis; analyse legal information and topical issues; make proposals for improvement of the legal framework in the field of the civil law. • Draw up a civil deal, interpret civil deals, are knowledgeable about the principles of civil law, understand the nature and elements of a legally concluded deal.

1. Civil Law as a branch of law. 1.1. the concept of Civil Law, 1.2. principles of Civil Law, 1.3. sources of Civil Law, 1.4. method in Civil Law, system.

2. The subject of Civil Law. The object of Civil Law. 2.1. the subjects of Civil Law (natural persons), 2.2. the subjects of Civil Law (legal persons).

3. The objects of Civil Law. 3.1. the thing, 3.2. action of persons, 3.3. personal non-material benefits, 3.4. results of creative activity.

Practical class topics 1 – 3. • theoretical part – analysis of the issues covered during the previous lectures, • practical part – practical work.

4: Civil legal relations. 4.1. structure of civil legal relations, 4.2. classification of civil legal relations.

5. Origin of Civil Law and responsibilities, basis for amendment and termination. 5.1. the concept and kinds of a legal fact, 5.2. legal activities, 5.3. legal events, 5.4. the concept of a transaction and its classification, 5.5. emergence of civil legal relations by analogy with law and rights.

6. Enforcement and representation of civil rights. 6.1. the concept and nature of enforcement of civil rights, 6.2. the concept of representation and its role in enforcement of civil rights, 6.3. the types of representation, 6.4. a power of attorney and substitution of power.
