Iepazīstināt studentus ar sociālās antropoloģijas pamatiem.

Zināšanas
1.Studenti zina: • kas ir antropoloģija; • kādas ir antropoloģijas galvenās pētniecības metodes; • kādu jautājumu loku apskata antropoloģija; • orientējas politikas, ekonomikas, dzimtes, radniecības, reliģijas pētniecības būtiskākajos jautājumos no antropoloģijas skatpunkta.
Prasmes
1.Uzlabota spēja analizēt akadēmisko literatūru. Uzlabota spēja rakstīt argumentētu tekstu. Uzlabota spēja analizēt sabiedriskus procesus, izmantojot antropoloģiskās zināšanas.
Kompetences
1.Analizēt tekstus, rakstīt esejas, pamatot savu viedokli, balstoties antropoloģiskajās zināšanās.
