Knowledge
1.Gained knowledge about the causes of mental disorders and the development of clinical features, early diagnostic possibilities for patients with somatic diseases (cardiological, endocrinopathies, gastrointestinal, kidney and lung diseases). Detection and diagnostics of mental disorders in patients with internal diseases. Medication rehabilitation fundamentals and supportive specifics of patients with internal pathology.
Skills
1.Acquired skills to carry out the assessment of mental disorders, psychiatric disorders' structured description in documentation. Usage of diagnostic scale. Acquisition of practical peculiarities of the different groups of patients (comorbid mental disorders and somatic diseases: cardiological, endocrinopathies, gastrointestinal, kidney disease and others).
Competences
1.Acquired competence to manage mentally ill patient in internist's practice. Must be able to identify the main features of mental illnesses of somatically ill patients. Must be able to make a diagnosis, develop a treatment plan and organise it, to be able to distribute medical competence between internists and psychiatrists, must be able to establish a therapeutic relationship and the therapeutic environment, to be able to educate the patient and the patient's family. Must be able to use diagnostic scale, to know how to reduce the stigma and prejudice for patients, to be able to organise emergency hospitalisation for psychiatric patients.

Students independently acquire theoretical part of practical works by using RSU e-materials, information given in classes and recommended additional literature. During the classes, the results of independet work are checked and discussed in groups. Case description evaluation. Students evaluate and discuss in a group the physical state of a patient demonstrated during the practical classes.
In order to evaluate the quality of the study course as a whole, the student must fill out the study course evaluation questionnaire on the Student Portal.

For successful completion of each semester students have to get average satisfactory grade for case description or practical works. The final examination is written. Examination ticket will consist of 3 randomly selected questions. Examination questions will be provided in e-studies. The length of the questions will be tailored to be easily answerable in 25 minutes and written on not more than one A4 page from both sides. Particular examination ticket will be drawn right before the exam. Each examination question will be graded separately and the final grade will be an average of 3 grades. If two of any of questions will be marked with unsatisfactory grade, examination will be failed.
