About Study Course
Objective
To provide knowledge about the social security system of Latvia, it's constituent parts and basic principles, including social assistance and social services system.
Preliminary Knowledge
Not required.
Learning Outcomes
Knowledge
1.In result student should obtain knowledge about constituent elements of social security system of Latvia, about legal order of education, health care, facilitation of employment in Latvia, about social insurance system and system of social assistance and social services.
Skills
1.In result student should understand diverse and common in the elements of social security system, to be able distinguish different elements of social security and to know specific principals of operation of each element.
Competences
1.To apply the acquired knowledge to characterize social security system of Latvia.

|
Examination of students is formed as a written answers about theoretical understanding of the material. Practical work is based on simulated situations. Students' independent work is related to the social security aspects of the system of analysis and characterization.
In order to evaluate the quality of the study course as a whole, the student must fill out the study course evaluation questionnaire on the Student Portal.
