About Study Course
Objective
Learning Outcomes
Knowledge
1.The resident acquires basic knowledge and competence in transplant immunology, immunological selection criteria and common immunological problems (pre-sensitization, rejection, DSA) and their diagnostic possibilities.
Skills
1.The resident will know how to determine the donor/recipient pair according to immunological criteria, determine the increased immunological risk in transplantation, and correctly determine the diagnostic algorithm.
Competences
1.The resident will be able to correctly determine the donor/recipient pair, observing the peculiarities of immunological selection, and determine the need for additional immunological examination.

The resident must acquire theoretical knowledge of transplant immunology: basic knowledge on humoral and cellular rejection; histocompatibility antigens (MHC), nomenclature, HLA structure, HLA phenotypes and genotypes; The role of T-lymphocytes, antigen-presenting cells, costimulation, adhesive molecules, endothelium, cytokines in the development of rejection; mechanisms of rejection of transplanted organs; tolerance, xenotransplantation from the point of view of immunology; tissue typing technique; DNA typing; for cross-match test variants; determination of presensitization; the importance of tissue typing in practical transplantology and the influence of the choice of donor-recipient pairs on the results of organ transplantation; donor/recipient pair selection algorithm, treatment methods of pre-sensitized recipients .

- At the end of the cycle, the teacher evaluates the practical skills in a 10-point system, recording it in the resident's book.
- The test of theoretical knowledge is conducted in writing and is graded in a 10-point system.
