Skills

1.Will be able to inform patients and their parents about orthodontic treatment principles; Ability to evaluate the strength of evidence of a scientific article and ability to analyse a scientific article.

Competences

Assessment

Individual work

Title
% from total grade
Grade
1.

Individual work

-
10 points

Individual work on the preparation of presentations on periodical literature and clinical cases, and the acquisition of the seminar material. During the semester, a test on the development of occlusion in patients with premature loss of teeth and the case analysis will be assessed for the grade. To evaluate the quality of the study course as a whole, students must complete the study course evaluation questionnaire on the Student Portal.

Examination

Examination

-
10 points

At the completion of the 9th semester, 5th study year, the first part of the cumulative examination of the state examination: presentation of periodical literature, will be organized. During session a written examination: multiple choice questions (20 questions) and one written question (an essay) on a particular topic will be applied. During the examination knowledge about diagnostic methods used in orthodontics, general orthodontic treatment principles and management of premature loss of tooth/teeth will be tested.
