1.Transfusion transmited infections.Confirmatory testing of donor blood samples, interpretation of test results.
Skills
1.Ability to transfuse blood components.
Competences
1.Finishing the course the students will have the necessary competence to work at blood establishment/ hospital blood bank/ immunohaematological laboratory, they will have good knowledge in Transfusion Medicine and approved medical technologies, if necessary they will be able to consult general medical practicioners and other medical staff on current transfusion practices.
