About Study Course

Objective

To develop and improve the knowledge, skills and competence necessary for the profession of a supervisor in order to professionally use counseling methods and evaluation of results, in accordance with the needs of the supervisee / supervisee and the specifics of the professional environment, as well as basic professional and general ethics.

Knowledge

1.Compares and evaluates different concepts, types, forms and models of supervision; describes theories, models and methods of adult education in the context of supervision; defines and describes the supervision process, the result to be achieved and its evaluation individually / in a group / organization; describes and substantiates supervision methods and techniques for individual / group / organizational work; explains the need to improve the supervisee's professional difficulties, needs and resources individually / in a group / organization and plans the supervision process and the results to be achieved.

Arranging and conducting of supervision practices

Students organise supervision practices - individual supervision, group supervision, team supervision. Ascertaining the needs of the supervisory commissioning party. Agreement on objectives. Entering into a contractual contract with the Customer (in writing or orally). Planning of supervision examination periods. Selection of appropriate methods. Reflecting on the practice in the professional activity diary.

The group’s supervisions are carried out for students of RSU Bachelor’s study programmes who have started the placement (Nursing BAC programme, sports educators, etc.), thereby providing emotional support to students of BAC programmes when starting the placement, as well as promoting reflection skills when analysing their activities in practice.

Students shall present the conduct of one supervision examination period by reflecting it in the minutes of placement (according to a given form). The minutes have been drawn up appropriately, are descriptive and allow the progress of the supervision examination period to be traced. It analyses the main milestones, justifies the methods chosen, references in the literature (drawn up in accordance with the requirements), issues for supervision on supervision have been formulated.

All managed supervisory minutes have been submitted. Students shall prepare and present two case analyses, including an appropriate theoretical justification. The case analysis indicates the initial purpose/issue of the supervision; a brief description of the supervision (main turning points); supervisor contransference; parallel processes; analysed whether the purpose of the supervision was achieved (to justify, even if not achieved); what a result of the supervision. Case analysis is written in an easily understandable and professional language. The most important information gathered is logically arranged, reasoned and based on diverse literature. The text correctly designs references in the APA style.
