About Study Course

Objective

To ensure the acquisition and improvement of theoretical knowledge and practical skills in otorhinolaryngology.

Learning Outcomes

Knowledge

1.Student will be able to demonstrate the acquired knowledge and comprehension: • Be able to explain the terms in otorhinolaryngology; • Be able to describe the principles and use of otorhinolaryngology investigation methods; • Explain differential diagnosis of otorhinolaryngology diseases; • Evaluate patient's upper airways; • Name and describe basic diseases in pulmonology.

Skills

1.The student will be able to: • Summarize essential information about the patient's otorhinolaryngological anamnesis; • Use the appropriate method for the diagnosis; • Take rhinomanomethry; • Choose the best / most appropriate method of investigation and treatment plan; • Select and use necessary medication.

Competences

1.The student is able to use acquired knowledge of otorhinolaryngological diseases: • Able to formulate otorhinolaryngological diagnosis; • Differentiate the various diseases; • Interpret the data obtained from upper respiratory functional measurement; • Analyze rhinomanomethry; • Develop investigation and treatment plan; • Argue treatment choices.

Gather the necessary information – anamnesis, acquire skills, examine LOR patients of different ages, select and perform the correct, appropriate LOR diagnostic and treatment procedures, compile a prevention plan. Work and its assessment in hospital/outpatient 50%/50%.
