Objective
Learning Outcomes
Knowledge
1.The student will obtain basic knowledge of peculiarities of prenatal care for patients with diabetes mellitus, gestational diabetes and disorders of the thyroid gland function.
Skills
1.The student will be able to draw up a long-term examination and treatment plan. Will be able to manage insulin therapy during pregnancy in patients with diabetes mellitus and gestational diabetes. Will be able to ensure long-term observation of the patients who have had gestational diabetes.
Competences
1.Ability to apply the acquired knowledge in the care of pregnant women with endocrine disorders, especially in the management of pregnancy in a diabetic patient.

|
The resident has to learn how to manage a pregnancy in a patient with endocrine problems, mainly: metabolic syndrome, type 1 and 2 diabetes mellitus, changes in thyroid function. Learn to assess endocrine changes in norm and pathology during pregnancy. Participate in the treatment of specific patients. Understand the peculiarities of diagnosis and treatment of endocrine diseases in pregnancy. Attend 4 planned seminars. Prepare clinical presentations for seminars, get acquainted with the latest literature and prepare literature reviews. Preparation for the examination test.
