Objective
Learning Outcomes
Knowledge
1.Characterize the nature of somatic diseases and development disorders associated with potential pathological findings in the oral cavity, diagnostics, emergency treatment and prevention in children from birth up to the age of 18 years.
Skills
1.Improves learning skills, research skills and ability to apply acquired knowledge in practice; Will be able to formulate key words; Will be oriented in textbooks and internet databases; Gives the necessary skills and abilities in examining the oral cavity of a healthy and sick child; Will know how to find a form of contact appropriate for the child's age; Collect anamnesis; Perform a clinical examination of the oral cavity assessing deviations from the norm; Assess the patient's condition.
Competences
1.Competence will be assessed after the compilation of results obtained. Postgraduates will be able to evaluate the need for consulting with a consultant.

A cumulative assessment system is applied for evaluation; it provides for systematisation in learning a subject and objectivity in knowledge assessment – student knowledge and skills are assessed during the course by practical work with patients and parents, solving tasks of clinical cases, teamwork, and discussions.
Cumulative knowledge obtained in the course is assessed at the end of the course solving tasks of clinical cases.
