Knowledge
1.During the time allotted for the study course, the medical resident obtains knowledge about the following: • differentiation between case analysis in acute and chronic cases; • knowledge and understanding of miasmatic theories and advanced application thereof in case management; • homoeopathic approach to mental and emotional illness; • homoeopathic approach to unilateral, intermittent and variable diseases; • various repertorisation techniques; • the importance of the doctor-patient relationship and communication in order to obtain from the patient the information necessary to provide them with appropriate homoeopathic therapy.
Skills
1.As a result of completing the study course, the medical resident: • is able to carefully capture the details of the patient’s history and interview the patient to obtain the medical history related to the holistic health and the main complaint; • is able to trace and study the course of events in the development of the disease, as well as identify the disease process in order to perform differential diagnosis; • demonstrates knowledge and understanding of miasmatic theories and advanced application thereof in clinical case management; • demonstrates the skill of taking an advanced case anamnesis and understanding of advanced case management; • selects and uses appropriate therapeutic techniques for solving complex problems; • fully understands the nuances of case studies and analysis thereof; • develops a deeper understanding of the patient’s constitution and nuances of symptomatology; • carries out physical examination; • formulates the treatment plans.
Competences
1.• knows how to use repertorisation techniques; • knows how to use different strategies for prescribing medicine; • is able to use various Materia Medicas and repertoria; • knows how to justify the applied repertorisation technique; • uses computerised repertorium software for repertorisation; • selects and approves medicines with repertorisation and direct reference to Materia Medica; • understands homoeopathic therapeutic concepts; • knows how to use advanced methods of analysis in cases of emotional and mental disorders; • identifies unilateral, intermittent and variable diseases and understands the tactics of homoeopathic treatment thereof; • applies the knowledge of posology; • knows the limits of one’s competence; • is able to demonstrate and apply critical and analytical skills; • is able to take responsibility; • demonstrates self-motivation, self-awareness and initiative.

At the end of the course, there is a test of theoretical knowledge (multiple choice test questions, open theoretical questions) and a test of practical knowledge: solving “paper cases” – case analysis and determining appropriate medicine.
The lecturer assesses theoretical and practical knowledge on a 10-point scale.
