About Study Course

Objective

Prepare doctor infectologist who is able to recognize a variety of drug-caused pathological conditions, their diagnosic and treatment options.

Learning Outcomes

Knowledge

1.During the study course time resident acquire knowledge that will allow: - learn drug action principles - navigate addiction diseases common symptoms and syndromes, infectious and toxic agents caused damage differentiation.

Skills

1.Resident will be able to: - evaluate the patient's mental state, - order targeted examinations for laboratory diagnosis, - interpret the results of examinations, - formulate a diagnosis.

Competences

1.Using the acquired knowledge and skills resident will be able to carry out highly qualified and specialized acute and chronic infectious disease diagnositic, treatment and prevention in patients with addictive diseases

Causes of alcoholism, epidemiology and pathogenesis. Alcoholism stage clinic. Variants of withdrawal syndrome. Psychoses of alcoholism, classification, clinic, principles of therapy. Principles and methods of psychotherapy and medical treatment of alcoholism. Addiction prevention, types, main principles.
