About Study Course

Objective

To acquire theoretical knowledge and enable the prospective education and sports specialist to acquire the necessary knowledge, skills and competences in the field of professional ethics. 

Preliminary Knowledge

Study courses mastered: Educational Psychology for Teachers, Teacher’s Professional Skills, Social-Emotional Learning, Legal Aspects of Pedagogical Process, Teaching and Learning in the Context of Diversity, Innovative Information Communication Technologies and Methods in Sport Pedagogy, History of Sport, Philosophy of Sport, Sport in Multicultural Environment and Olympic Education, Professional Communication and Terminology I (English, German, Russian), Teacher’s Placement I, II.

Learning Outcomes

Knowledge

1.1. Key words in professional ethics, types of professional ethics. 2. Structure of professional morality, ethical management styles

Skills

1.3. To formulate the nature, basic concepts, functions of professional ethics for a sports teacher. 4. Basic requirements, principles, norms and values of corporate, business and sports ethics. 5. Knows how to apply theoretical knowledge in practical activity, justifying and anticipating actions and consequences.

Competences

1.6. Able to solve moral upbringing problems independently and in a team, corporate ethics. 7. Ethical problems of a sports specialist using state-of-the-art methods and ethical styles of communication. 8. Able to evaluate codes of ethics. 9. To express personal opinion, perform critical self-analysis by linking theory to the practical ethical aspect in the chosen field of professional activity.
