About Study Course

Objective

Raising awareness and promoting the acquisition of basic knowledge about social work with family.

Preliminary Knowledge

Knowledge of the special features of human development, on social work with case, knowledge of social assistance and social services, knowledge of family policy and legislation in Latvia.

Learning Outcomes

Knowledge

1.Acquire knowledge and understanding of the topics listed in the description of the content of the study course: functioning and dysfunction of the family, deviances and their types, dependencies and their types, model of social competence, types of violence, characteristics and consequences of violence, types of human trafficking, prevention and levels, detection and rehabilitation, social worker's activity at levels of practices.
