About Study Course

Objective

To give an opportunity to get acquainted with 3D printing and its application in dentistry.

Preliminary Knowledge

Knowledge of informatics at the level of the secondary school program. It is preferable to take the study course FK_069 "IT basics" in advance.

Learning Outcomes

Knowledge

1.To provide students with insight and practical knowledge in such innovative technologies as 3D printing, 3D modeling and 3D scanning, which students could potentially encounter in the future in their professional environment, thus increasing their competitiveness.

Skills

1.As a result of the study course, students will be able to use the acquired knowledge about 3D printing, 3D modeling and 3D scanning in order to be able to work practically with various 3D printers, 3D modeling programs and 3D scanners, as well as be able to apply these technologies in practice.

Competences

1.As a result of studying the study course, students will be able to use the available 3D printing, modeling and scanning technologies, will be able to assess the current situation in the field of 3D technology, predict its development directions.
