About Study Course

Objective

To acquire scientifically substantiated basic knowledge of the importance of nutrition in the context of physical exercise by promoting understanding of the effects of nutrition on physical health, recovery processes and preservation of health. The course looks at the body’s energy supply systems during exercise, the importance of nutrients and fluids at different types of exercise, as well as the method of determining body composition and the principles of weight regulation for physically active people. Aspects of the use of sports supplements and anti-doping issues are also being looked at. The course promotes awareness of the importance of nutrition in physical activity while emphasizing the limits of professional competence in providing nutrition advice.
