About Study Course

Objective

To ensure the acquisition and improvement of theoretical knowledge and practical skills in neuropathological examination of children.

Learning Outcomes

Knowledge

1.Acquires knowledge of the principles of neuropathology in children, methods of taking and preparing specimens, processing procedure, neuropathological findings of the most common diseases.

Skills

1.Is able to use theoretical knowledge and practical skills to interpret neuropathological results, to apply them in solving neurological problems.

Competences

1.Independently plans and organises the improvement and development of own professional competence. Formulates the choice of neuropathological examination method for the diagnosis of diseases of the child nervous system, critically analyses the results of examination methods, integrates knowledge of the field of neuropathology into the development and expansion of the competence of a paediatric neurologist
