Objective
Learning Outcomes
Knowledge
1.Knowledge of the mutual relation of sports medicine as a multidisciplinary field of medicine and the field of sports traumatology. Theoretical and practical knowledge in prevention, diagnostics, dynamics of different sports injuries and pathological conditions caused by physical load, knowledge about treatment methods and individually adjusted physical activity to such patients and physical activity restrictions.
Skills
1.Ability to reasonably select the most suitable examination methods in case of different injuries, assess results of examinations and prepare a treatment plan for these patients, awareness on the measures to be taken in emergency situations at prehospital stage.
Competences
1.Competence in solving different clinical cases, their diagnostics, etiopathogenesis, treatment, prevention and care.

|
Theoretical knowledge is acquired in 6 seminars and individual literature studies. During practical classes students control patients under the supervision of a physician eligible to provide such training, participate in examination and treatment of a patient by mastering patient examination, as well as diagnostics and medical manipulations. A medical resident acquires different diagnostic methods applied in sports traumatology, methodology of the manipulations to be made, invasive and non-invasive medical technologies also applied in sports medicine physicians practice.

At the end of the study course the head of the residency programme evaluates the acquired theoretical knowledge in written and oral form. The written test shall be assessed according to the 10-point grading system.
