About Study Course

Objective

To ensure acquisition and improvement of theoretical knowledge and practical skills in stem cell transplantation in accordance with the requirements of the haematology specialty in order to prepare the doctor for certification in the haematology specialty.

Learning Outcomes

Knowledge

1.- Will know about the indications, risks and benefits of autologous and allogeneic transplantation; - Will know about the mobilisation and collection of hematopoietic stem cells; - Will know about the prescription of high-dose chemotherapy; - Will know about acute and chronic graft-versus-host disease; - Will know about lung complications, hepatic veno-occlusive disease, hemorrhagic cystitis; - Will know about chimerism analysis.

Skills

1.- Will be able to determine indications for autologous and allogeneic transplantation; - Will know how to mobilise and collect hematopoietic stem cells; - Will be able to prescribe high-dose chemotherapy.
