About Study Course
Objective
To acquire skills for work with special literature in accordance with the profession standard.
Preliminary Knowledge
Knowledge, skills and competences of English/German according to the standard of secondary education and study courses have been mastered: Educational Psychology for Teachers, Teacher’s Professional Skills, Social-Emotional Learning, Legal Aspects of Pedagogical Process, Teaching and Learning in the Context of Diversity, General and Physical Activity Biochemistry, Human Anatomy and Dynamic Anatomy, Foundations and Methodology of Volleyball, Foundations and Methodology of Track and Field Exercises, Foundations and Methodology of Swimming, Foundations and Methodology of Gymnastics, Rhythmics and Rhythmic Combinations, History of Sport, Philosophy of Sport, Sport in Multicultural Environment and Olympic Education, Project Development, Teacher’s Placement I.

The student receives text or instructions about the topic of the text from the teacher. The student selects the text according to the topic of their course paper. Reading, preparing and analysing selected texts independently in English/German, according to the qualification, preparing for discussion, and seminar according to study course content.

For mastering the study course, the student receives a differentiated assessment in a 10-point grading system. To get a positive assessment for the study course, the total assessment should sum up to at least 4. The student receives assessment by summing up the number of points, assessing knowledge, skills and competences in the performance of individual tasks, and also attitude and individual dynamics. A student may receive 10 for additional individual work outside the programme, presenting excellent skills in the foreign language. For a student to get a successful assessment, the following will be assessed: 1. Attitude towards education, development dynamics, active participation in classes (20%) 2. Independent work performed by the student (30%) 3. Practical regulations (30%) 4. Oral examination of the study course (20%). 1. Independent learning is assessed with presentations. Presentation assessment criteria: 1.1. Speech: 2 points – speaks freely, 1 point – reads and speaks. 1.2. Language: 2 points – rich language, 1 point – language with deficiencies. 1.3. Contents: 2 points – extensive, interesting information, 1 point – incomplete information. 1.4. Visual presentation: 2 points – correctly designed, 1 point – with deficiencies. 1.5. Additional materials: 2 points – different relevant additional materials, 1 point – there are additional materials. In total, maximum points – 10 points. 2. Language use skills are assessed during contact classes: 3 points: all 4 language skills are demonstrated at a very good level. 2 points: all 4 language skills are demonstrated at a good level, or one of the language skills at a weaker level. 1 point: several language skills are demonstrated at a weak level. 3. When assessing attitude, active activity in practical classes is taken into account: 1 point – the student shows interest and responsibility for his/her education, 0.5 points – the student expresses interest in his/her education. 4. The growth of knowledge, skills and competences during the course constitutes individual dynamics: 1 point – systematically ascending. 0.5 points – episodic. |
