About Study Course

Objective

To facilitate the acquisition of basic knowledge and understanding of insurance law, to be able to apply the acquired knowledge in practice, to identify current issues, to analyse national and international court judgments in insurance law.

Preliminary Knowledge

Civil Law, Commercial Law.

Learning Outcomes

Knowledge

1.Students will define insurance concepts, identify subjects, describe types of insurance, and define the legal framework for insurance contract and insurer activity. Students will be able to identify and analyse problem situations in insurance law, to propose appropriate solutions, applying national and international laws and regulations.

Skills

1.Students will be able to identify and analyse potential problem situations, to offer legally sound, constructive solutions to problem situations, and to apply relevant laws and regulations regarding insurance law.

Competences

1.Students will be able to perform specific tasks and duties related to insurance law, and to use knowledge and skills in professional and personal development. Students will apply legal norms in accordance with the priorities established by law, thus improving the skills to work with the legislative base and understanding of law in general.
