Objective

Learning Outcomes
Knowledge
1.As a result of completing the study course, students will be able to do the following: • recognise the symptoms of infectious diseases and act in emergency situations; • describe the principles of laboratory examinations; • evaluate the collected data set to understand the basic principles of treatment; • assess preventive measures for each infection.
Skills
1.After successfully completing the course, students will be able to independently, taking into account the acquired knowledge, as well as based on the actions prescribed by the doctor, carry out preventive measures of the necessary content and form.
Competences
1.Students are able to provide emergency assistance to patients with infectious diseases, explain the importance of prevention and organise preventive measures.

Student participation in practical classes is assessed (25%), and successful completion of theoretical tests (at the end of each topic, a test that includes multiple-choice and essay-type questions) – 75%. At the end of the course – an exam.
