About Study Course

Objective

To ensure the improvement of theoretical knowledge and practical skills in dental prosthetics by developing evidence-based and based treatment plans for a complex and individualized approach to each clinical situation and high-quality, reasonable treatment.

Learning Outcomes

Knowledge

1.Successful acquisition of theoretical knowledge appropriate to the scope of the program - principles of communication, critical analysis of the literature, development of evidence-based treatment plans.

Skills

1.Application of knowledge: independently apply medical problem solving skills in order to exercise the professional functions of a highly qualified specialist. Analysis, synthesis, assessment: independently formulate and critically analyse complicated clinical medical problems, critically assess the studies in the field of medical science; integrate the knowledge of various medical fields. Communication: in an argued manner explain and discuss either complex or systemic aspects of the particular doctor's speciality and medical science with both specialists and non-specialists; Ability to analyse various clinical situations. Good quality practical performance, carrying out the manipulations and clinical stages of dental prosthetics mentioned below.

Competences

1.Independently plan and organise own dental prosthetics specialist's professional improvement and development.

Assessment

Individual work

-
-
The student independently, outside the planned classes adds knowledge in the following directions: • development of a complex treatment plan using all possible diagnostic options - analysis of digital diagnostic models, i-cat X-rays, 3D photographs; • raising awareness in the planning and implementation of aesthetic prosthetics; • interdisciplinary cooperation in solving complex situations; • understanding of a reasonable choice of restorative materials; • to analyze the current scientific literature.

Examination

Title

Requirement to submit descriptions of planning and treatment of clinical situations of fully cured patients with pictures of stages: 1st study year - 5 situations;
2.

Examination

-
-
a) examination of theoretical knowledge at the end of each study year - oral answers to theoretical questions; b) evaluation of practical work: Requirement to submit descriptions of planning and treatment of clinical situations of fully cured patients with pictures of stages: 1st study year - 5 situations;
