About Study Course
Objective
To enhance the ability to develop and manage recreational event content using intangible cultural heritage, natural, and anthropogenic resources.
Preliminary Knowledge
In the professional Bachelor’s programme of sports science, students need knowledge of human functioning, in the field of pedagogy and psychology, which gives students the opportunity to understand the activities to be performed from both anatomical physiological and pedagogical psychological points of view. Knowledge of English is required at a sufficient level to read industry literature and guide course terminology in English.

Students describe and analyse the nature and opportunities of intangible cultural heritage in promoting the economy - attracting customers and tourists. It is necessary to describe at least 3 different annual traditions in Latvian culture and how to adapt them in the creation of recreational activities and events. To offer at least 5 different recreational activities for each Latvian tradition, the basis of which is the intangible cultural heritage of Latvians with a customized offer or variants thereof. At the same time, when designing the progress, rules and purpose for which it has been created. The total for the report is 10 to 12 pages. |
