About Study Course

Objective

To further develop and consolidate in practical work the knowledge, skills, and competences acquired in the qualification study courses, and to obtain and process feedback information arising from one’s own practical activities.n.

Preliminary Knowledge

Prerequisite knowledge in the qualification “Senior Coach of a Sport” in sports training planning, sport-specific characteristics, and methods for assessing physical fitness in order to effectively organise and control the training process. In the qualification “Sports Teacher” – knowledge of sports teaching methods in preschool and school, the importance of social-emotional learning in the educational process, as well as the principles of classroom management and project organisation in school.

Independent preparation for internship lessons, including the completion of lesson plans in cooperation with the internship supervisor. Lesson plan templates and internship documentation are available in the RSU LSPA methodological guidelines in the course e-studies environment. Review and completion of the materials from the first internship.

In the coaches’ qualification, the defense of practical training is conducted by specialization leaders within a single stream, while in the teachers’ qualification and the sports management course group, a committee is organized. The defense of practical training is regulated by the methodological guidelines of the RSU LSPA Faculty, which are available in the course’s e-studies.

Assessment of the placement by the trainer or sports teacher

During the placement, the student performs the placement content tasks in consultation with the responsible person of the placement – the coach or sports teacher. All placement content tasks are reflected in the placement logbook.

At the end of the placement, the coach or sports teacher evaluates the student’s work during the placement and assigns an assessment based on the RSU LASE defined placement assessment criteria. The assessment of the responsible person is an essential part of the overall assessment of the placement, as it reflects the student’s professional activity and growth throughout the placement.

The student must attach a scanned, completed and signed assessment sheet of the responsible person to the placement logbook. The assessment sheet is an integral part of the placement documentation and is necessary for the successful submission and evaluation of the placement.

The placement logbook must be electronically signed by both the student and the responsible person of the placement.
