1.Upon successful completion of the course, students will know: • the lexical minimum of conversational themes, • the most common language rules, • the principles of question formation, including question words.
Skills
1.Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to apply Latvian in study process and basic daily communication.
Competences
1.Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to use Latvian language at basic level in daily communication.

Home assignments for acquisition of lexical and grammatical content. Preparing a presentation on topic "Me and my daily routine".
Students are obliged to fill in the course evaluation questionnaire at the end of the course.

|
|
Mandatory participation and active work in practical classes. Presentation – 40%. At the end of the course – a written colloquium to check grammar and vocabulary – 60%. The final result of the course is made up of the average grade of both tests. |
