About Study Course
Objective
To ensure the acquisition of theoretical knowledge and practical skills that would correspond to the necessary knowledge about indications and patient selection and preparation for pancreas transplantation in order to prepare the doctor for certification in the specialty of transplantology, in accordance with the regulatory documents of the Republic of Latvia.
Learning Outcomes
Knowledge
1.Resident acquires basic knowledge and competences about endocrinological complications after organ transplantation, patient preparation for pancreas transplantation, indications, principles of immunosuppression after transplantation, principles of patient management after transplantation.
Skills
1.Resident will be able to manage patients with endocrinological complications after organ transplantation, determine indications and manage patients after pancreas transplantation.
