Knowledge
1.Having mastered the course, students will be able to identify types of groups, to understand specifics of social work with groups, basic principles for building the group, will be able to understand the processes and aspects of the potential difficulties in the group progress.
Skills
1.Integrate the acquired theoretical knowledge in practical classes, create a group lesson plan; demonstrate group leadership skills, to select and justify activities to promote the group's activities during the group.
Competences
1.After mastering the study course, students will be able to apply the acquired knowledge and skills in social work with groups. Students will be able to recognize the behavior of different group members in the group, understand customer concerns and needs in the group, be able to orientate in group phases, compile a plan of consecutive group sessions, will be able to justify the need to create a group for a specific target group. Will increase the ability to anticipate and flexibly respond to problem situations in the group process, increase their self-understanding and self-experience of interaction with clients in the group. Will be able to select, apply methods and techniques in social work with groups according to the specifics and needs of the target group.

Exam: oral. Presentation for a group lesson / cycle of lessons and practical group management – 60%. Group plan development (submitted in writing) – 30%. Activity and participation in classes, group work – 10%; The need of the group for a specific target group in a specific county / community context is justified, the type of group is identified, the overall goal of the group (and each lesson) is defined, tasks, open content, methods, techniques and expected results for the target group are set. During the group activity modelled in the presentation, 2–3 technical techniques are revealed in the practical operation, leadership skills in group leadership are demonstrated, ethical and confidentiality aspects are observed in the group management process.
