About Study Course

Objective

To acquire and improve theoretical knowledge and practical skills on endocrine system diseases, aetiology thereof, pathogenesis, examination and treatment options.

Learning Outcomes

Knowledge

1.After completing the endocrinology course, the medical resident will be familiar with the possible causes of the most common endocrine gland dysfunctions, mechanisms of pathogenesis, endocrine gland interactions, clinical manifestations of endocrine diseases, laboratory and instrumental examination methods, indications thereof and interpretation of results, primary and secondary prevention and treatment of endocrinological diseases.

Skills

1.Upon completion of the endocrinology course, the medical resident has acquired skills in the examination, diagnosis and differential diagnosis of endocrinological diseases, differentiated use of treatment methods.

Competences

1.Using the acquired knowledge and skills, the medical resident will be able to formulate a diagnosis, perform differential diagnosis, interpret the examination data, develop a structural treatment and rehabilitation plan, logically formulate and explain the goals of treatment, evaluate its effectiveness and side effects.
