Objective
Learning Outcomes
Knowledge
1.Knowledge of mutual interconnection of sports medicine as a multidisciplinary field of medicine and othorhynolaryngology. Theoretical and practical knowledge of the functioning of ears, throat, vocal cords, nose and vestibular system during rest and physical load, different hearing disorders, prevention, diagnostics, dynamics of the most commont otorhinolaryngological diseases, treatment methods of acute sports injuries of these organs and individually adjusted physical activity to such patients, as well as physical activity restrictions.
Skills
1.Ability to reasonably select the most suitable examination methods in case of diseases or injuries, assess examination results and prepare a treatment plan for patients in the field of othorhynolaryngology, awareness on the measures to be taken in acute situations at the prehospital stage.
Competences
1.Competence in solving different clinical cases, diagnosis, etiopathogenesis, treatment, prevention and care.

To improve theoretical knowledge and practical skills in patient assessment, control and application of medical technologies, diagnostic and medical manipulations under the supervision of qualified specialists. Theoretical knowledge is acquired in 2 seminars and in individual literature studies. During practical classes students monitor patients under the supervision of a physician eligible to provide such training, participate in examination and treatment of a patient by mastering patient examination, as well as diagnostic and medical manipulations. A medical resident acquires diagnostic methods and manipulations of otorhinolaryngology and methodology of invasive and non-invasive medical technologies.

At the end of the study course the head of the residency programme evaluates the acquired theoretical knowledge in written and oral form. The written test shall be assessed according to the 10-point grading system.
