About Study Course

Objective

To ensure the acquisition of knowledge about the prevention of addiction diseases, epidemiology, pathogenetic mechanisms, characteristics of patient examination, regulatory documents that determine the procedure for the treatment of narcological patients.

Learning Outcomes

Knowledge

1.Explain the etiological factors and pathogenetic mechanisms of addiction diseases; formulate preventive measures; name the regulatory documents that regulate the procedure for the treatment of addiction patients; to know the diagnostic tools of addiction disease.

Skills

1.Collect drug anamnesis, recognize addiction disease syndromes, be able to formulate a diagnosis; to provide narcological assistance, in accordance with existing legislation; explain the need for preventive measures.

Competences

1.Organize the treatment of addiction patients, in accordance with regulatory documents; evaluates the impact of the addiction disease on the state of health; to provide information about the diagnosis and treatment options of the addiction disease to the patient and his relatives; participate in a multiprofessional team.

• Read additional literature sources, attend thematic LNA conferences. Practice in daily work: - detection and correct assessment of the symptoms of addiction diseases; - collection of a full-fledged narcological anamnesis with subsequent drawing up of a treatment and care plan; - work with patients in a multiprofessional team.
