About Study Course

Objective

Provide insight and acquire knowledge about respiratory, cardiovascular, digestive, urinary system, endocrinological organ system diseases, nervous, skin and sexually transmitted diseases, surgical and traumatological diseases, their etiology, pathogenesis, clinical manifestations, possible complications, principles of patient treatment and care . Be able to evaluate the use of massage in improving the health of patients/clients.

Preliminary Knowledge

Prerequisites: Human anatomy, physiology and pathological physiology, propaedetics.

Learning Outcomes

Knowledge

1.As a result of the study course, students will know the etiology and pathogenesis of internal, nervous, surgical, traumatological, dermatovenerological diseases, recognize and define clinical symptoms and syndromes. The student will be able to name and describe diagnostic methods and principles of disease treatment, will be able to explain the basics of pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics in diseases of different etiology, as well as indications and contraindications.

Skills

1.Students will apply the acquired knowledge in solving different situations: they will be able to explain massage tasks, principles and achievable results to the patient.

Competences

1.As a result of studying the course, students will be able to identify the clinical signs of diseases and syndromes, differentiate them and analyze situations. Will be able to interrelate the patient's symptoms, syndromes, prescribed measures and the masseur's role in solving the patient's problems. Students will be able to educate the patient about the use of various pharmacological agents, independently perform the masseur's duties related to the patient's health care.
