About Study Course

Objective

To ensure the acquisition of theoretical knowledge and practical skills that would correspond to necessary knowledge about ​​the causes of liver failure, indications and selection and preparation of patients for liver transplantation in order to prepare the doctor for certification in the specialty of transplantology, in accordance with the regulatory documents of the Republic of Latvia.

1.Resident acquires basic knowledge and competences on patient preparation for liver transplantation, indications, principles of immunosuppression after liver transplantation, transplantation technique, principles of patient management after transplantation.

1.Determination of indications for liver transplantation, selection of patients, immunosuppression regimen.
