About Study Course

Objective

The resident acquires the academic, educational and professional competencies required for contemporary endodontic practice. The course develops the ability to prepare and deliver effective clinical, academic and scientific presentations, communicate scientific evidence to diverse audiences, and critically appraise and apply research findings in professional practice. The resident acquires the principles of public speaking, professional communication and teaching methodology, enabling the education and supervision of undergraduate students, postgraduate residents and other healthcare professionals. The course also develops competencies in planning, delivering and evaluating educational activities, providing constructive feedback, and maintaining the principles of academic integrity, professionalism and ethical conduct in education, research and clinical practice.

Learning Outcomes

Knowledge

1.1. Acquire knowledge of the principles of academic communication, preparation of scientific and clinical presentations, and effective public speaking. 2. Acquire knowledge of the fundamentals of pedagogy, organisation of clinical teaching, and methods of providing constructive feedback in dental education.

Skills

1.1. Prepare and professionally present clinical cases, scientific research and academic presentations using evidence-based information and effective communication principles. 2. Plan and deliver clinical teaching sessions by applying appropriate educational methods, demonstration techniques and constructive feedback.

The resident prepares and delivers a public presentation of a clinical case, scientific research or academic topic, demonstrating the ability to communicate evidence-based information in a structured and professional manner to different audiences. Assessment includes the scientific quality of the content, presentation design, public speaking skills, ability to respond to questions, and the capability to adapt the presentation to dental professionals or undergraduate dental students.

Description

The resident acquires advanced knowledge of the principles of preparing academic and clinical presentations, developing the ability to communicate clinical cases and scientific information in a structured, clear and evidence-based manner. The seminar covers presentation structure, formulation of learning objectives, principles of visual design, effective use of clinical photographs, radiographic images and scientific data, as well as common mistakes in presentation preparation. The resident develops the ability to prepare high-quality academic and clinical presentations tailored to different audiences while adhering to the principles of professional and academic communication.

Description

The resident acquires the principles of public speaking and professional communication in healthcare, developing the ability to present clinical and scientific information clearly, confidently and in an evidence-based manner to diverse audiences. The seminar covers the preparation and delivery of effective oral presentations, the presentation of scientific research and clinical cases, discussion leadership, evidence-based argumentation and professional communication in interdisciplinary settings. The resident develops the ability to adapt presentation content and communication style to different audiences, respond constructively to questions, and present scientific findings professionally at national and international academic and professional meetings.

Teaching Methodology and Professional Education of Healthcare Professionals
Description

The resident acquires the principles of adult learning and medical education, including the planning, delivery and evaluation of educational activities, as well as effective teaching and mentoring strategies in healthcare. The seminar covers methods for teaching undergraduate students, postgraduate residents and other healthcare professionals in both theoretical and clinical settings, formulation of learning objectives, provision of constructive feedback, assessment of clinical competence and promotion of professional development. The resident develops the ability to plan and deliver educational activities, foster critical thinking and evidence-based clinical decision-making, and uphold the principles of academic integrity and professional ethics throughout the educational process.
