About Study Course

Objective

To ensure the acquisition and improvement of theoretical knowledge and practical skills in surgery in accordance with the requirements of the regulations of the specialty of neurosurgery.

Learning Outcomes

Knowledge

1.The resident has the understanding of aetiology, pathogenesis, symptomatology, and diagnostics of surgical diseases, surgical treatment indications, as well as principles of use of diagnostic and treatment methods (surgeries) in patients of surgical profile.

Skills

1.The resident is able to assess the manifestations of surgical diseases and their significance in the choice of tactics, to examine patients with surgical pathologies and patients with bodily damages, to use simple surgical diagnostics and treatment methods.

Competences

1.The doctor, using the acquired knowledge and skills, is able to independently recognize and diagnose surgical diseases, evaluate them, if necessary, involving the relevant specialist.

In addition to the workshops, residents carry out research and teaching, as well as visits to RSF organized lectures of medicine and other sciences interdisciplinary problems and the theory of the guidelines. The resident must independently review the literature, prepare presentations on the topics of the seminars.
