About Study Course

Objective

To provide and enhance the theoretical knowledge and practical skills in pediatric radiology, per the pediatric surgical specialty’s requirements to prepare the doctor for certification in the specialty of pediatric surgery.

Learning Outcomes

Knowledge

1.- To analyze the X-ray and CT investigation results in emergency conditions, and determine the further radiological diagnostic/treatment plan for children of various ages - To be able to evaluate the radiological dynamics of pathological conditions; To learn: • Options of diagnostic radiological methods in pediatric surgery • Options and capabilities of therapeutic radiological methods in pediatric surgery • Drafting of diagnostic imaging plan for various surgical pathological cases • To recognize emergency conditions for children of various ages with the assistance of radiological methods.

Skills

1.- To designate qualified radiological diagnostics for patients of various ages with various organ system illnesses and pathological conditions; - The ability to designate further/expanded radiological investigations.
