About Study Course

Objective

Summer school is being implemented as an alternative to study practice and aims to combine the theoretical knowledge of students with the study of specific cases in the field of digital health.

Preliminary Knowledge

Summer school is implemented in 2nd semester of study programme.

Learning Outcomes

Knowledge

1.Student: - understand the digital health ecosystem, its key players, processes and technological solutions in healthcare. - mastermind digital tools to solve healthcare or enterprise problems, including AI solutions and data analytics tools. - develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills by working with real data and challenges in the field of digital health. - acquire data security and ethical principles by working with sensitive patient information and digital solutions

Skills

1.Student acquires skills: - the application of theoretical knowledge in case-by-case analysis; - selection and application of appropriate analytical instruments and methods of analysis; - organising and implementing group work

Competences

1.Student acquires competence: - practical skills in the analysis of cases of digital transformation in the field of health or in the implementation of digital transformation; - substantiating, reasoning and presenting the results of the analytical work.

During the summer school, students familiarise themselves with a case-by-case analysis of digital health, conduct research into it, collaborate in groups and finally present the results of the group’s work to a wider lecture theatre.

In order to evaluate the quality of the study course as a whole, the student must complete the study course evaluation questionnaire on the student portal.
