About Study Course

Objective

Help students to acquire knowledge about subjects and objects of intellectual property law, about protection of objects of intellectual property.

Preliminary Knowledge

Introduction to Civil Law, Property Law.

Learning Outcomes

Knowledge

1.On completion of the study course students will have acquired knowledge of legal regulation of intellectual property, types of intellectual property and their protection.

Skills

1.Upon completion of the study course students will have a grasp of the regulatory framework for intellectual property, will understand the organisation of intellectual property protection and the administrative process in the field of intellectual property. Will be able to identify differences between different intellectual property protection systems. Will be able to advise on intellectual property protection issues.

Competences

1.Upon completion of the study course students will understand the economic and social interests of the owner of the intellectual property and the public. Will be able to balance the interests of the owner of intellectual property and the public. Will be able to choose the most appropriate form and jurisdiction for intellectual property protection.
