Topics

Use of gymnastic equipment in gymnastics classes; visual demonstration of equipment and demonstration of some exercises with each piece of equipment. General overview.
Description

The lesson provides a general insight into the use of exercise equipment in health sports and general development classes. The most common types of inventory are considered (e.g. gymnastic poles, balls, dumbbells, rubbers, step steps, balancing surfaces, etc.), their function, benefits and purpose.

Each piece of equipment is visually displayed, along with each showing some simple and effective exercises, indicating how they affect different muscle groups, balance or flexing, strength. Proper use, safety aspects and variation of exercises for different levels of preparedness are emphasised.

Exercises with small and large exercise balls for different muscle groups
Description

The lesson will practically learn exercises with the small and large exercise balls, purposefully activating different muscle groups – corset (deep muscle), back, stomach, legs, arms and shoulder band.

The technical aspects of exercise will be emphasised: taking the neutral position, checkpoints, breathing control, as well as adjustments to different levels of fitness. Exercises in support, sitting, lying on the ball or with the ball in your arms/legs will be demonstrated, indicating the specific effect of each exercise.

Topics

Interval, circuit training.
Description

The lesson will introduce two types of classes in health sports - interval and lap training, their structure and application to different levels of physical fitness.

Interval training relies on an intense shift in loads and rest periods that efficiently improves endurance, aerobic and anaerobic capacity, and encourages fat burning.

Circuit training involves several sets of exercises performed consecutively without interruption, or with a little rest in developing strength, endurance and overall physical fitness. The choice of exercise, the appropriate choice of loads, rest will be emphasised.
