About Study Course

Objective

To give students the opportunity to learn Latvian language skills for communication in simple everyday and study-related situations.

Preliminary Knowledge

English language knowledge, skills and abilities according to B1-B2 level.

Learning Outcomes

Knowledge

1.The student is able to understand individual statements, sentences about yourself, your family, place of residence, studies, everyday situations.

Skills

1.The student is able to give simple and short oral information about himself, his studies, his family, place of residence, everyday life, using the learned vocabulary.

Competences

1.The student is able to read and understand short, simple informative texts; form questions and answer them.

For completing the study course, the student receives a differentiated assessment based on a 10-point scale. In order to receive a positive evaluation for the study course, the overall evaluation must correspond to at least 4 points. The student receives an evaluation in points by summing up the set number of points, evaluating knowledge, skills and competences in the performance of individual tasks, as well as attitude and individual dynamics. The student can receive 10 points for additional individual work outside the program, showing excellent Latvian language skills. Vērtējuma kritēriji: •Vērtējuma kritēriji: • ar pārbaudes darbiem tiek vērtētas zināšanas un prasmes leksikā un gramatikā; pārbaudes darbs sastāv no dažādiem uzdevumiem, par katru uzdevumu studējošais saņem noteiktu punktu skaitu. Pārbaudē tiek iekļauti pēc izvēles šādi uzdevumu veidi: a) uzd.: pareiza vārda vai izteiciena ievietošana teikumā – 5 p. (par katru pareizu ievietojumu – 0,5 p.); b) uzd.: uzrakstīt sinonīmu vai antonīmu – 5 p. (par katru pareizu variantu – 0,5 p.); c) uzd.: pareiza vārda vai apgalvojuma varianta izvēle – 5 p. (par katru pareizu izvēli – 1 p.); d) uzd.: atbildēt uz jautājumiem – 10 p. (par katru pilnīgu, pareizu atbildi – 1 p.); • valodas lietošanas prasmes tiek vērtētas kontaktnodarbību laikā; • patstāvīgais darbs tiek vērtēts ar prezentācijām; Prezentācijas vērtēšanas kritēriji: a) runa: 2 p. - brīvi runā; 1p. – lasa un runā; b) valoda: 2 p. – bagātīga valoda; 1p. – valoda ar nepilnībām; c) saturs: 2p. – plaša, interesanta informācija; 1p. – nepilnīga informācija; d) vizuālā prezentācija: 2 p. pareizi veidota; 1p. – ar nepilnībām; e) papildus materiāli: 2 p. - dažādi atbilstoši papildus materiāli; 1 p. – tikai video materiāli. Kopā maksimālais punktu skaits - 10 punkti. • vērtējot attieksmi, tiek ņemta vērā aktīva darbība praktiskajās nodarbībās: 1 punkts – studējošais parāda interesi un atbildību par savu izglītošanos; 0,5 p. – studējošais pauž interesi par savu izglītošanos. • zināšanu, prasmju un kompetenču izaugsme kursa laikā veido individuālo dinamiku: 1 p. – sistemātiski augšupejoša 0,5 p. – epizodiska.
