About Study Course
Objective
To acquire knowledge about the State Infectious Diseases and Monitoring System (VISUMS).
To acquire knowledge about the Commission Decision 2002/253/EC laying down case definitions for reporting communicable diseases to the Community network (origins and viral hepatitis of intestinal infection microbes).
Epidemiological examination algorithm for intestinal infections, viral hepatitis, airborne infections.
Learning Outcomes
Knowledge
1.As a result of acquisition of the study course a medical resident will obtain knowledge about VISUMS, infectious disease case definitions, basic epidemiological examination principles of particular groups of infectious diseases.
Skills
1.As a result of acquisition of the study course a medical resident will consolidate the acquired knowledge, will be able to make entries on infectious diseases in VISUMS, elaborate a protocol, perform epidemiological examination of a disease case, collect necessary epidemiological information, determine the limits of the epidemic focal point for the implementation of anti-epidemic measures for a specific group of infectious diseases.
Competences
1.As a result of acquisition of the study course a medical resident will reach competence and will be able to individually register and enter information about disease cases in the VISUMS database, as well as undergo epidemiological examination of the disease case individually or in the presence of a specialist.
