About Study Course

Objective

Provide theoretical knowledge and practical skills acquisition and the improvement of children's otorhinolaryngology.

Learning Outcomes

Knowledge

1.• Be able to explain the terms of otorhinolaryngology; • Describe otorhinolaryngology diagnostic principles of operation and use; • Explain the pathogenesis of otorhinolaryngology diseases at different ages; • Evaluate a child - otorhinolaryngology patient; • Name and describe children's otorhinolaryngology diseases; • Compare different methods of investigation; • Define allergic diseases.

Skills

1.The student will be able to: • Collect relevant information about the children's otorhinolaryngology diseases; • Use the appropriate method for the investigation of patients with otorhinolaryngological disease; • To carry out otorhinolaryngological disease differential diagnosis; • Choose the most suitable/appropriate therapy; • Select and make the best use of examinations in accordance with the disease and the patient's age.

Competences

1.The student is able to use the acquired knowledge of children's otorhinolaryngology diseases in the differential diagnosis: • Can formulate otorhinolaryngology disease diagnosis; • Differentiate otorhinolaryngology diseases; • Interpret the findings of otorhinolaryngology examinations; • Develop recommendations for the prevention of diseases in otorhinolaryngology.

Prepare a clinical case presentation. Teach a resident to communicate with a child, their parents, educators; collect information – history, to acquire the skills to investigate different age otorhinolaryngologic patients to choose and take correct otorhinolaryngologic diagnostic and treatment procedures, to draw up a prevention plan.
