About Study Course
Objective
To ensure a complex evaluation of the professional competences of the prospective teacher in the theoretical field and practical activity, examining the student’s ability to plan, implement, manage and evaluate the teaching and education process in the field of sports and health, State defence training, to comply with the requirements of professional ethics and regulatory enactments, to ensure an inclusive, safe and competence-based learning process, as well as to reflect on his or her professional activities and possibilities for improvement.
Preliminary Knowledge
Knowledge of basic principles of pedagogy, psychology and sports science, legal relations regarding student development, planning, organisation and evaluation of the learning process, as well as regulatory enactments regulating the field of education. Skills to develop a lesson plan, select appropriate learning methods and means, organise a safe and inclusive learning environment, assess pupils’ learning achievements and reflect on their professional activities. Competences to cooperate with the parties involved in the educational process, respecting the principles of professional ethics, academic integrity and the protection of children’s rights.

1.Analyses the specific characteristics of the development, learning and individual development of pupils of different ages and their role in planning the learning and parenting process.

Skills
1.Plan, organise and manage a sports and health curriculum, a national defence curriculum in accordance with national education standards, learning outcomes to be achieved and individual needs of pupils.

2.Methods for assessing pupils’ learning achievements shall be applied and provide student growth-enhancing feedback to pupils and their parents (legal representatives).

3.Select and use learning methods, learning tools, digital technologies and forms of learning organisation that promote students’ cognitive interest, physical activity and health literacy.

Job description: The student prepares systematically for the integrated written examination of professional qualification, develops theoretical knowledge, ability to analyse and integrate sports science knowledge into professional activity, as well as understanding theoretical, psychological, sociological and legal aspects of professional qualification specialisation. The student shall organise the independent work individually, using mandatory literature, supplementary literature and other scientifically justified sources of information. Fulfilment conditions:

The student, in co-operation with the teacher of the school’s sports and health or state protection training, independently develops an hour plan for sports and health or state protection training, implements it in the selected class and performs professional self-analysis on the course of the hour and the results achieved, in accordance with the State education standards and the principles of modern pedagogy. Job description: The written integrated examination is the final examination of the study programme, in which the student demonstrates knowledge, understanding, analytical skills and ability to integrate the competences acquired in the professional qualification. The examination shall include theoretical aspects of professional qualifications, research aspects in sports science, as well as theoretical, psychological, sociological and legal aspects of professional qualification specialisation. In preparing for the examination, the student shall individually acquire the content of the examination using mandatory and recommended literature, scientific publications, laws and regulations and other sources of information specified by the lecturers. Fulfilment conditions:
I. Theoretical aspects of professional qualifications, II. Research aspects in sports and education science in professional qualifications, III. Theoretical, psychological, sociological and legal aspects of the specialisation of professional qualifications;

Job description: The practical qualification examination is the final examination of the study programme, the student demonstrates the professional competence to plan, organise, manage and analyse an hour in accordance with the State basic education and general secondary education standards. In the examination, the student independently develops a sports lesson plan for a selected class group, in consultation with the school’s sports and health teacher, manages a sports lesson in a real educational environment and performs professional self analysis of the course of the hour and the results achieved.
