Skills

1.As a result of completing the study course, the medical resident: • explains and understands the theory of miasms; • demonstrates knowledge and understanding of therapeutic agents used in homoeopathic practice and recognises indications for use; • is able to distinguish between indications for selecting preparations for certain diseases; • is able to perform differential diagnosis between preparations using different Materia Medica repertorisation and computer-aided repertorisation methods; • gains an understanding of the applicability of homoeopathic preparations and demonstrates the ability to apply the acquired theoretical knowledge in practical work. • applies the acquired theoretical knowledge in practical work.

Competences

1.After successful completion of the study course, the medical resident achieves the competences necessary for a homoeopath: • is able to integrate knowledge of the preparation studied and their comparative differential diagnosis in order to identify accurate homoeopathic preparations for the treatment of chronic and complex diseases; • develops a deep understanding of the therapeutic content of a homoeopathic preparation; • understands the structure of repertoria and the language of sections thereof; • is able to use advanced repertorisation techniques; • is able to verify medicinal product selection with Materia Medica; • to analyse and synthesise using philosophical induction and deduction; • is able to plan independently one’s future learning (including lifelong self-education) and apply knowledge in practice.

At the end of the study course, there is a test of theoretical knowledge (multiple choice test questions, open-ended theoretical questions) and a test of practical knowledge: theoretical and practical case analysis and selection of the most appropriate preparation. The lecturer assesses theoretical and practical knowledge on a 10-point scale.
