About Study Course

Objective

To develop an understanding of the course of historical development of personality theories and today's situation; on the diversity of theoretical approaches and their evaluation criteria

Knowledge

1.Understands the general concepts of personality psychology and their connection with other fields, knows the basic problems and facts analyzed in personality psychology, knows the terminology, has an idea of the basic theories and processes in personality psychology, critically evaluates personality theories in the modern context.

Skills

1.Uses the terms of different personality theories and compares theories, applies the cognitive and practical skills acquired in the course of personality psychology to perform professional tasks

Competences

1.Orients in theories of personality psychology; have some self-analysis skills.

Execution and self-analysis of personality psychological tests within the framework of various theoretical perspectives, play of personality analysis situations, report on one of the theories and its presentation. Glossary of terms, analysis of one recent study in personality psychology. Written exam on the basic concepts of personality theories.
