About Study Course

Objective

To ensure acquisition of theoretical knowledge and practical skills in radiological diagnosis and endovascular treatment of renal artery disease.

Learning Outcomes

Knowledge

1.On successful completion of this course, the resident will recognize the findings of angiography of renal artery fibromuscular dysplasia, know the basic principles of therapy and the expected results, indications for invasive treatment. Residents are familiar with the medications used in patients with renovascular disease before and after the procedure to protect the patient from contrast-induced nephropathy.

Skills

1.Demonstrate skills of radiological diagnosis and endovascular treatment of renal artery diseases.

Competences

1.On completion of the course, residents will be able to apply the acquired theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the treatment of renal artery diseases, will be aware of possible complications (including renal hemorrhage caused by iatrogenic action or trauma), will be able to diagnose and treat them.
