Objective

Knowledge
1.Students will know the structure of eukaryotic cells, functions, role in human pathology; the main types of cell division, role in human pathology, an inheritance of human traits. Insights about importance of genetic testing in sports medicine.
Skills
1.Students will acquire skills to work with a light microscope, analyze preparations; to prepare family tree traits for inheritance analysis.
Competences
1.As a result of the course, students will gain basic knowledge about humans as a biological being.

If all classes have been attended, work protocols have been filled in, class tests are evaluated with a mark 7 and above than students have autopass in the exam – its assessment consists of the average mark from the marks of the class tests. If the mark in any of the tests is lower than 7, then the average mark from the tests makes up 50% of the final grade and 50% consists of the answers in the written exam. If practical class is not attended, then the test is assessed with a failed mark.
